Details:
I was attempting to configure my AMT enabled intel nuc, and grub cannot find
the Serial over lan port.
Using 2.02~beta2-8 as currently found in Ubuntu Trusty, grub2 fails to find
Intel AMT serial console.
grub> serial --port=0xf0e0 --speed 115200
error: serial port `portf0e0' isn't found
I checked and 9afe2053c9b was the only difference in grub-core/term/serial.c
compared to the version available for trusty.
It might matter, but this machine is booting via uefi.
Also this might also be useful information.
$ grep ttyS4 /var/log/kern.log
Mar 31 21:53:37 nuc1 kernel: [ 0.691087] 0000:00:16.3: ttyS4 at I/O 0xf0e0
(irq = 19, base_baud = 115200) is a 16550A
SOL works fine once I get passed grub.
