Downstream Gentoo bug:

>From this bug:
Given the following collection of kernels (and their corresponding configs and
dracut initramfs files):
vmlinuz-3.15.5-gentoo
vmlinuz-3.16.0+
vmlinuz-3.16.0-rc4
vmlinuz-3.16.0-rc5
vmlinuz-3.16.0-rc6
vmlinuz-3.16.0-rc6+
vmlinuz-3.16.0-rc6+.old
vmlinuz-3.16.0-rc7+

grub2-mkconfig produces a grub.cfg that makes the default kernel
vmlinuz-3.16.0-rc7+.

The default should obviously be vmlinuz-3.16.0+.

The config output for 2.00_p5107 and git master are identical. Both list rc7+
in the first slot.
