Observed with Asus Z87-PLUS motherboard
booting Fedora 37 image .iso
grubx64.efi     17 Aug 16:56
BOOTX64.EFI      7 Jul19:36

The following message shows briefly before returning to the main GRUB menu:

Invalid Image
Failed to read header: Unsupported
Failed to load Image: Unsupported
start_Image() returned Unsupported

If the files are replaced by versions from Fedora 36,

May  5  2021 BOOTX64.EFI
booting proceeds as expected.
