[Bug-gsl] GSL on AIX 5.2 Build Problems

Hi:

I've configured and tried to build gsl on AIX and encountered some build
errors that I thought you might be interested in.  See the make output
in attachment make_out.txt.

I've also attached config.log for your amusement.

Finally, the file localdirs.txt give you a list of the directories I have in my
~/local area, where I have a few GNU things installed like ncurses,
gmplib, and bison (I think that is about it).

I am keenly interested in using it in my interpreter, but I need to make
sure end users aren't going to get stuck trying to install dependencies for
it (http://bdbbasic.wiki.sourceforge.net).

I have some different problems with HPUX-11, but I'll submit that
separately.
