Hello,

The config.h is an internal header file and shouldn't be required by
the user. None of the gsl_*.h files include it, so you should be able to
link/compile any program against GSL without it.

I looked in the examples directory and none of the .c files there
include it either, so could you provide more information about exactly
what you're trying to do?

The siman_tsp program is located in an internal gsl directory 'siman'
and does include config.h, but the "example" siman program in the manual
is different and does not require config.h.
