It is not the locale.  You may be using zh_CN.utf8, but, the environment
of your build is using the locale "C".  I print out the locale at
the beginning of the 'make check'.  You can see it in 'out.txt'.

I think that you were building the program either chroot or detached
from a terminal.  I hadn't expected that.  So, most of the tests that
werefailing were bugs in the tests, not bugs in the program.  I've fixed
the tests so that theywill run when detached from a terminal.

Also, I think I've fixed the problem that caused the compilation to
fail.
