Perfectly correct, the configure test is against the BSD editline 
version of libreadline, as against the compilation against readline-5.1 
.  A little bit of hacking in the configure and 
HAVE_RL_CLEANUP_AFTER_SIGNAL was set (any chance of an AC_ARG_WITH 
readline prefix in the configure)
