Igor pointed out that Single Unix v2 has this in the description of
gethostname():
Host names are limited to 255 bytes.
Is this an extension over POSIX? If POSIX says the same, it probably makes
sense to just define MAXHOSTNAMELEN to 255 and forget about it. If POSIX
doesn't say anything, we should continue to remain silent on it of course.
