Great!  I suggest that everyone use this oskit version then.  I don't think
there have been any changes in newer oskit versions that are importantly
useful to oskit-mach, and obviously there have been some changes that broke
it.  So people should just use the old oskit until I am able to debug the
problems with the new one.

Well, that's too bad.  Can you try some oskit example kernels that use your
network hardware first?

That's right (I even added that flag to the oskit just for this use).  You
don't want the oskit doing anything funny to the characters going to your
serial or vga console from the Mach "console" device, .  The gnumach
"console" device does not convert CR->CRLF either.  That's for the userland
code to do; that's term once it's going, and the libc/mach/devstream.c
for the early output in the boot filesystem and init.
