I started integrating some of your osfmach-related changes a while ago,
doing it piecemeal and cleaning things up along the way. I'm so far
avoiding the OSFMACH #ifdef and using specific feature checks instead.

Where did you get your osfmach and its development headers from? I got
osfmk from cvs.mklinux.org, and its headers do not seem to exactly match
what your code is expecting. AFAICT, mklinux is dead and has not had any
development or releases in a long time now. Is there a different osfmk
distribution you are using?

Anyway, I've just gotten ahold of a ppc machine (Macintosh) so hopefully
soon I will start seriously hacking on this port myself. To that end, can
you tell me about your setup? What mklinux system are you running, how did
you get it installed, etc? I am hoping that I can simply install a native
linuxppc system (e.g. yellowdog 2.1) and then install some more packages of
osfmach/mklinux to boot in place of linux. Did you then make a version of
`boot' that runs on mklinux (a la the old `uxboot'), or if not then how do
you boot your Hurd? There are surely other details I'll want too, so
anything you can think of is helpful.

Thanks,
Roland
