Thread-local storage, the locking functions and pthread_kill() don't
work yet, I doubt you get anything usable. I don't know how stable
glibc 2.3 is, I've fixed some bugs in the past when testing
glibc+pthreads using make check. If you want something to test and
play with, build a glibc 2.3 based system and make sure it works
good. If you need something to hack, make sure all test cases work
(the last time I ran make check on glibc 2.3 I got 89 test failures).

At the moment I'm busy with a lot of things, especially school (the
end of the year is always a busy period). When my vacation starts
(about 4 weeks from now) I have plenty of time to hack pthreads and
other things.
