   I agree that 2^64 bits is amazingly huge. But doesn't this sort of 
   assumption tend to lead to problems later on down the road?

If I have 99 years of 1024x1024@24 50frames/sec movies, and 32061
terabytes of mail, music and other crap, than I have other problems to
think about.

2^64 is so absurdly large that it is not worth even thinking about
what one will do later right now.  It is not like a silly string
limit that one can hit at any time.

And can we go back to the discussion about what apparoch should be
taken to fix the file-system limit? Earth calling Roland and Thomas
please respond.
