Rather the other way round:  It makes sense to start with that when switching
to another kernel, while it probably doesn't make a whole lot of sense with
Mach performance wise.

Peter, Moritz and me plan to discuss user space drivers for the Hurd on L4 this
weekend in Bruxelles.  People at FOSDEM who are interested in this are
welcome to join in.
