Then how should glibc be configured when built for Hurd on L4? glibc
needs to know if it should use l4 or mach sysdeps, right? Let's also
assume it's cross compiled, to rule out some other means for testing.
To me, "i686-pc-l4-hurd-gnu" would make sense (see
http://mail.gnu.org/archive/html/l4-hurd/2000-11/msg00029.html). This
is a question that's asked time to time, but so far I haven't seen any
answers which have made me change my mind since 2000.
