You're right, it isn't.
But nevertheless there is a difference:

These libraries are basic GNU/Hurd libraries. You will have them installed
anyway.
libbonobo, on the other hand, is something GNOME-specific.

It's not only libbonobo itself.
libbonobo depends on some basic GNOME libraries.
