Hi everybody!

Due to the amount of bogus registrations and resulting spamming of
the Wiki I have been forced to disable parts of the registration
process for new users as well as the ChangePassword functionality.

Registration of new users now works like this, fill in your personal
details on:

        http://hurd.gnufans.org/bin/view/TWiki/TWikiRegistration

This creates your home page in, e.g.

        http://hurd.gnufans.org/bin/view/Main/JoachimNilsson

and updates the users directory at

        http://hurd.gnufans.org/bin/view/Main/TWikiUsers

To actually get your login to work you nowadays must use the page

        http://hurd.gnufans.org/bin/view/TWiki/ResetPassword

and then email me the generated password string which I then manually
update the .htpasswd file with before you can start working. I can
promise you that this process will take no longer that 24h since I'm
almost always online.

For minor contributions/additions/changes there is of course the
possibility to still use the TWikiGuest/guest login, as some of
you already might have noticed.

This week we will upgrade the server that runs hurd.gnufans.org,
from the old PII 266MHz 384MiB to a new Sempron based with 1GiB.
So the site will become a little bit easier to work with as well.
