RFC - GNU System Distribution

Hello,

For several weeks now I have been considering creating an Ubuntu-based
GNU/Hurd distribution. After bouncing it off of a few people it appears
that most are against it and would rather push to get the GNU System going.

Along those lines we have been having some discussions on #hug and
##hurd and have laid out some VERY preliminary ideas/thoughts on the
following wiki page:  http://hurd.gnufans.org/bin/view/Distrib/GnuOS

I have a few concerns personally but if this is the direction the
community would rather take, then I am willing to jump in (though hesitant).

Please have a look at the wiki, let's get some discussion going, set
some direction and lets get it going.

I apologize for the cross-post to bug-hurd but I know that there are
people that are not subscribed to this list and I personally want this
to be true community driven agenda.
