Perhaps people do not realize the deadline is in May.  So if someone
wants to be a mentor, he has to step forwards now.  It can give the
Hurd project quite a boost.

Talking about the tasks now is not relevant at all, although I can
perfectly understand why people are doing that.

Personally, as a student, I am following this discussion closely and
will apply if possible.  This is one of the reasons why I can and will
not be a mentor.
