Details:
I'm trying to install a GNU/HURD 10.0 on my relatively old computer (Cel333,
VIA Chipset, 64 Mb RAM). Disk partitioning and system preparation (before
first reboot) goes ok, but while trying to reboot using GRUB boot CD I get a
message listed above. Here's what I enter into GRUB command line:
grub> root (hd0,6)
grub> kernel /boot/gnumach.gz root=hd0s7 -s
grub> module /hurd/ext2fs.static
--multiboot-command-line=${kernel-command-line} --host-priv-port=${host-port}
--device-master-port=${device-port} --exec-server-task=${exec-task} -T typed
${root} $(task-create) $(task-resume)
grub> module /lib/ld.so.1 /hurd/exec $(exec-task=task-create)
grub> boot
The system starts to boot, but sonn after hangs up with the following error
message:
start /hurd/ext2fs.static: /hurd/ext2fs.static: hd0s7: Gratuitous error
