Details:

02:31 <antrik> interesting: running "cat /dev/zero|cat >/dev/null" for a
while completely freezes the system

How long does this take?

minutes and an hour I'd say

use tcplisten/tcpconnect (pfinet) or a fifo, there is no crash

Perhaps related to the pflocal patch by Neal that is in the Debian package?
