Certainly not. But it would probably become the main vehicle for
conveying *topical* information about the Hurd. We don't really have
anything for that right now.

(There is a "news" section on the official web site, but it's static
HTML; and AFAIK it's still officially maintained by Alfred?...)

The absolute frequency is not really decisive here. The question is
more: Would the regular contributors be willing to post about relevant
changes they make, about interesting ideas or discoveries etc.?
