The latest changes in the Hurd

Hi, 

I'd like to write a short text for teh wiki about the latest changes in the 
Hurd. 

I saw quite many commits, so I'd like to ask, if you could drop me a few 
sentences about your changes, for example about the ones since the beginning 
of the GSoC. 

Which component did you change? 
What kind of change did you do (optionally, why)? 
If you did more than fiing bugs: what is the bigger picture about your change?
