Details:
When executing halt on the hurd console, the GNU Mach messages that say the
kernel has been shut down are hidden by the hurd console, causing the system
to look like if it has hanged (since you will still see the console prompt as
in
hurd@root:# halt
And you can't type anything as the system has halted.
youpi> well, if you are running on the Hurd console, that's the expected
behavior actually
youpi> since the GNU Mach messages telling you that the kernel is properly
shut down are hidden by the Hurd console
youpi> in this case, I guess we just need to make the console more daemonish,
in that it should be properly shut down, so that you'd see the mach message
