Wow, some really good thoughts in there... It reassures me that keeping
those tricky ideas on the list is indeed useful -- even if they are too
abstract for most of the potential candidates :-)

Unfortunately, I don't have time right now to give it the detailed
answer it deserves :-( But I'll do so as soon as I can.

Now that's a pity...

Personally, I voice the opinion that working on things which in some way
show off the possibilities the Hurd architecture offers, is actually
much more important right now than fixing existing shortcomings in the
implementation... Playing catch-up is a hopeless case anyways, unless we
can get a considerable number of people to see major benefits, so they
actually will be willing to invest in this system.

That's a pity too -- you seem to have a very good grasp on things in
general :-)
