A few things still need to be integrated, but that's not work for GSoC.
The few things that are missing is
- fix dhcp3
- get the few packages still on debian-ports needed for basic install
into the the archive
- generate all kinds of CD flavors
- use genext2fs or a local /hurd/ext2fs mount to get translators
recorded in the initrd itself.
- improve initrd handling
- fix library reduction
- enable graphical installer
That doesn't look to me like something we can really propose as GSoC.
