yeah.I saw this.I was also running hurd on qemu but thought that for contributing to hurd i need to compile from source code.So was trying that.
If i make some some changes in hurd or gnumach code and want it to build and run then what to do?Don't i need to build the code that time?

You should build the Hurd on a pre-existing Hurd installation,
cross-building from a Linux system is much more involved. See [1] for
how to run Hurd. Most of us run Hurd in qemu [2].
