That's correct.  I suggest you test this from a functioning GNU/Hurd
system, running your ext2fs.static on a 1 GiB file (sparse file should be
fine, I think), and you can use GDB just in case ;-) something doesn't
work: <http://www.gnu.org/software/hurd/hurd/debugging/translator.html>,
etc.  As yours is statically linked, you don't need to use env to set
LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
