I'm confirming this. For me, this meant »upgrade hurd 20120222-1
20120710-2« as per dpkg.log. Tested about ten reboots, it happens after
the date is displayed -- and what I also notice is that the Hurd console
doesn't start up automatically anymore, which might very well be related.
(Didn't try starting it manually.)
