Hi,

I think the two facts are related. If you look at the original screeshot, you can notice that it is running "run-parts" on zz-update-grub, I gather that gnumach is only the parameter.

If you need any more information, just ask.

That should be reported too, otherwise it has zero chance of being
fixed.
