Just one note about your application: the main point of the GSoC being
paid is to free the student from any other time consuming involvment
during the summer. While I understand it can be difficult to plan ahead
without being certain to be selected, it's also a strong hint for us
that the student is more likely to succeed than another who will also be
busy elsewhere.
