Ah, but you are talking about the 2013 image, right?  Indeed, netdde
wasn't automatically used at the time IIRC.  Newer images should be

That's very tight indeed, we haven't optimized memory use yet, and 256M
is not enough.

One year ago would have been the 2013 release image.  Again, what is
your network board?
