Dear all,
I would like to suggest the first patch out of four,
that will lead to an IPv6 capable FTP client. This
initial step moves to a code basis with minimal
dependency on AF_INET (in fact in a single line),
in order to achieve IPv6 sopport in the next stage.
Once the present patch is included, the continuation is:
PATCH 2/4: Full IPv6 support.
PATCH 3/4: Addition of client commands for
address family selection.
PATCH 4/4: Updating of Texinfo source for
the FTP client.
All patches are ready, only waiting for line number
calculations, and for the writing of the suitable
changelog entries (which is harder than developping
the patches themselves).
The new code has been tested on GNU/Linux, GNU/kFreeBSD,
OpenBSD, and FreeBSD, as is usual for me.
Best regards,
Mats
