And the chroot should/must provide "/tmp/"? No?

Another issue:

   logger -h /unix/sockets/are/rooted/paths   "Tell the world"

Thus the path MUST begin with a slash in order that iu-logger(1)
be able to recognize a UNIX socket name. Can you make me believe
that your $TMPDIR is less that, say, 95 characters, then the test
setup could be refined, while disabling the path length test in
all other cases.
