I've been helpinnsome with this, mostly in the capacity of providing historical context and acting as the de facto maintainer as Reuben gets me set up as the official GNU maintainer.
Nate provided the intial work which served as the basis of the 'webext' branch in the git repo which is serving as the mainline branch for this new major version/reimplementation of LibreJS.

I have a demo up, but there has recently been very little activity in
the IRC, so I do not know how the version the volunteers are making is
going. It looks like there have been recent patches, however.
