An oversight on my part.  Sorry.  I haven't been cross referencing the 
ChangeLog as I merge, and where there is a conflict, I'm assuming that HEAD 
is correct.  I'm not sure how we can tacklie this sort of problem... I 
suppose that for a commit to stick between the start of the merge 
(2001-05-26) and when we finally kill off MLB in favour of the merged HEAD, 
the patch needs to go into HEAD.

This confusion is probably due to our crossed wire over which branch the 
merge should happen in.  My bad.  I'll go back over recent MLB patches after 
the merge is complete (unless you want to port them into HEAD n the 
meanwhile), which should catch any odd ones like this.
