But probably less pleased to know that I believe that libtool
likely wastes more time trying to configure compile arguments
than setting up a link.  This is based on the assumption that
there are 10's of compiles per link.  I may be wrong, though.
In any event, I will, very soon, resync the work with top of
tree, but the current state of affairs is that the binary is
just a wrapper around the script.  That is, about all it saves
is the parsing of shell text that does not get executed.
The only functionality coded into the program at this point is
the argument processing and echo-replacement stuff.  Not RSN,
but within the next 6-12 months or so there will be something
more useful.
