Re: ranlib concatenation

HI Ralf,

Forgive my ignorance but can I fix this by replacing the aclocal.m4 
file and then rerunning the configure script?  Do I have to change 
particular macros within it? There is an m4 directory too... is there a 
place to find new versions of the macros?

Please forgive my ignorance and thanks much for your help.
