Thank you for the bug report.  As we found out some time ago, this bug
is caused by a downstream patch.  Please complain to the gentoo
maintainer responsible for the Libtool package, gentoo libtool includes
a couple of patches which make this test fail.  Pristine GNU Libtool
1.5.18 does not have this.  By the way, 1.5.20 is the current GNU
version.
