Libtool is not supported in a directory path containing a space.

90% of the patch are needless and thus useless noise, the 3 remaining
hunks touch but 1% of the real issues that libtool has with spaces.

Yes, a correct and thorough fix would require to rewrite large portions
of libtool and quite likely make it much slower than it is today.
