OK. What about ltmain.sh in your package? Search for ^VERSION= in it.
If that's 1.5.x, the you need to run
  libtoolize --force
I do not have any ltmain.sh in my package.

But after running libtoolize, you should have. It's either in the
top source directory, or, if AC_CONFIG_AUX_DIR was used in configure.ac,
in that auxiliary directory. This file needs to be from 2.2.x.

I trust you, but the truth is that I am not getting any ltmain.sh file on my package top directory (and the AC_CONFIG_AUX_DIR is commented on my configure script).

Does this help?

address@hidden david]$ libtoolize --verbose --force --copy
libtoolize: AC_CONFIG_AUX_DIR not defined, not copying libtool auxiliary files.
libtoolize: AC_CONFIG_MACRO_DIR not defined, not copying libtool macros.
libtoolize: You should add the contents of the following files to `aclocal.m4':
libtoolize: `/usr//share/aclocal/libtool.m4'
libtoolize: `/usr//share/aclocal/ltoptions.m4'
libtoolize: `/usr//share/aclocal/ltversion.m4'
libtoolize: `/usr//share/aclocal/ltsugar.m4'
libtoolize: `/usr//share/aclocal/lt~obsolete.m4'

Cheers,
Ralf
