Still multiple install probs (1.4.4)

When i install on multiple platforms I have still (again?) problems with
the 2nd installation.
Installing the first causes no problems:

autoconf
./configure --prefix=/users/rz/usr --exec-prefix=/users/rz/usr/$HOSTTYPE
--enable-optimise --disable-debugging --enable-config=$HOSTTYPE
--without-kpathsea
--enable-tfm-path=/usr/local/TeX/texmf/fonts/tfm/public/cm/:/usr/local/TeX/texmf/fonts/tfm/ams/symbols/:/usr/local/TeX/texmf-var/fonts/tfm/public/lilypond/:/users/rz/usr/share/lilypond/tfm/

Installs. (Yeah, still no kpathsea on our system)

But when I logs in on another platform and reconfigure (run the two
above commands again) and make, I get

Re-untarring the archive fixes the problem.
