lilypond 1.4.2 and python 2.2

Hello
I'm a french user of lilypond (my english is very bad !!!! sorry)
I work on mandrake linux 8.2 (with python 2.2) and i make my music scores 
with lilypond 1.4.2
My problem is : lilypond-book can work. When i want to compile the source 
files, the message error
is : File "/usr/bin-lilypond-book", line 463, in ?
file "usr/lib/python2.2/sre.py, line 178, in compile return-compile(pattern, 
flags)
file "usr/lib/python2.2/sre.py, line 228, in compile raise error, v# invaid 
expression
sre_constants.error : redefinition of group name 'match' as group 2; was 
group 1
