bug in CVS (lilypond-book) 3

Did that.  Still getting the same strange results.  There were several
places where feta *pk and *tfm fonts were.  I got them all.  Then I did
'make -C mf' (I realized afterward that I had left out the final "/"
would that cause any problems?).  When I tried running my test file
through lilypond-book I got exactly the same thing; some fonts generated
and weird output.

Do I need to trash my whole Lilypond installation and do a fresh
checkout?
