The Ball in historian Russian dressed of 17th century took place at 11and 13 of February 1903. It was brilliant event not only of the Court but in all Russian society. Foreign guests were amazed of the Ball's magnificence. Dresses and photo album of participants exposed on several international exhibitions. Right now the album copies are real pearls of few Russian and foreign collections.
Edition was prepared by amount of authors of the State Hermitage, Moscow Kremlin, State Museum-Reserve "Pavlovsk" in cooperation with other 11 museums. Some biographies were restored literally grain by grain of genealogists.
