This must be something specific with your installation, I have
not seen anything like that in any of the 2.1.1x versions.
However, I note that the file ps/music-drawing-routines.ps
was changed between 2.1.11 and 2.1.12, so that's the main
suspect. Do you update directly from CVS or from the .tar.gz
files? If you do it from CVS, make sure that all files really
are updated and that a correct version is installed.
What versions do you have of dvips and gv? Have you looked at
the .ps file with GSView/gv/ghostview or have you just looked
at PDF/PNG files?
