Choral example for documentation; Cygwin comments

I’m fairly new to Lilypond and like it very much.  Hats off to Han-Wen, Jan, and the other authors; also to Mats Bengtsson for answering questions and to Fodor Bertalan for the Cywin packaging.

I have attached a .ly file for TTBB quartet or chorus.  I think it would be a good addition to the examples in the documentation, because it makes intensive use of the new text features and adjusts the spacing in a number of important ways.  The file is public domain.

Here are some notes on Cygwin operation.  Windows users without much Cygwin or Linux background may be unaware of these issues, and it wouldn’t hurt to point them out in the Windows installation instructions:

  1. It is necessary to install the tetex-base package to get the fonts required for proper printing of lyrics.  With only the tetex-tiny package, only the CMR series fonts are available.  They print poorly on many printers.
  2. Many users are unfamiliar with font naming conventions, and so some recommendations might be in order.  PNCR8R (New Century Schoolbook) is a heavy, wide roman font that looks good and is well supported by printers, for example.
  3. Many users new to Cygwin may be unfamiliar with the Ghostscript commands necessary to produce an EPS file suitable for incorporation in another document.  (ps2ps –E in.ps out.eps)
