Re: Midi in 2.1.26?

As far as I can tell, MIDI is more or less FUBAR. I haven't had your 
problem, but ties are gone. Worse, MIDI voices aren't recognised. All 
instruments take on the piano voice.

\set Staff.midiInstrument = #"pizzicato strings"

If that's not the correct format for setting MIDI instruments, then 
convert-ly shouldn't be changing it for me.
