RE: staff lines problem in professional printing

The ps file was made in four steps:
1. lilypond
2. dvips -E to get an EPS file
3. included the eps file in a latex doc.
4. dvips

I looked closer at the issue, comparin a printing with my printer and the
imageset version.
All the objects are exactly as on the simple printed version, including all
barlines. The staff lines seem to begin sooner on the left and end later on
the right.
Now I made another scan to confirm: made a 600 dpi scan
(http://www.inf.bme.hu/~berti/lilypond/problem/longline-scan.png) and put it
on a 600 dpi exported PNG from GhostScript
(http://www.inf.bme.hu/~berti/lilypond/problem/longline-export.png). The
same badness was present
(http://www.inf.bme.hu/~berti/lilypond/problem/longline-xor.png). (The
scanned file looks a little bit scaled up, but that easily can be the
scanner's error).
