Thanks.  Apparently Pedro's 2.3.24 package was just before that change. 
 Pedro was kind enough to make those packages after Han-Wen first told 
me he had fixed the problem.  Apparently the fix wasn't complete at that 
time.  I'll just have to wait until Pedro is kind enough to make more 
packages.

Meaning you tested my example?  Either way open source and Lilypond are 
amazing!!
