WHAT AM I MISSINING ? MAC OS X

Hi there.

I installed lilypond on my G5 (MAC OS X 10.3.6) with fink.

Tried out the first test

G5:~ rom$ lilypond test.ly

test.ly.zip

and got the following error

also tried the midi2ly  on a test midi file

recorded with protools le (digidesign)

 which produced this

in the terminal (apple) and x11 i got the following result.

G5:~ rom$ lilypond /Users/rom/pianoo-midi.ly

disapointing_result.txt.zip
Description: Zip archive

I would find a lot of use from this program, and would appreciate any 
assistance with this.
